9 modules set before 11 AM!

This week in Camarillo, we installed a custom ranch home and ADU on a beautiful farm property. It was the kind of set day that shows what pre-fab construction can make possible when the design, planning, factory work, and site coordination all come together.

The project includes a main ranch home, a separate ADU, and an integrated porch and deck system that will help tie the buildings into the land around them. We’re also incorporating reclaimed wood throughout the exterior details, adding warmth, texture, and character to a home that already feels deeply connected to its setting.

A lot happens before the modules ever arrive: design decisions, structural coordination, logistics, transport routes, foundation preparation, and countless small details that need to line up. Then, in one morning, the whole project begins to take shape on site. There’s still more work ahead, but this was a big milestone. The modules are set, the form is here, and this custom ranch home is officially coming to life.

Just over four years ago, we installed this small, custom ADU into an off-grid mountain top retreat. The site was beautiful, remote, and delicate. It was the kind of place that called for a more thoughtful way of building.

With conventional construction, the process would have meant months of daily travel up the mountain for crews, materials, tools, and equipment. Every step would have happened on site, exposed to weather, access limitations, and the realities of building in a remote landscape.

Instead, most of the work happened off-site in our factory. The ADU was built as modules, transported carefully along the mountain pass, and set in place in a single day. When complete, it rested quietly on the hillside as a one story, one bedroom, one bath guest house, 721 square feet, with an integrated deck opening out to the mountain views.

Now, years later, the landscape has grown in around it. The home feels settled into the hillside, quiet among the trees, and connected to the place it was built for.

We’re proud to be part of the rebuilding effort in Pacific Palisades. We just delivered our first Palisades fire rebuild, a custom two-story home designed for a family ready to begin the next chapter on their property.

This is also one of the first modular homes delivered to the area as part of the fire rebuilding effort, making it a major milestone not only for our team, but most importantly for the homeowners. With a modular approach, they are one step closer to moving back home sooner than they may have been through a more traditional construction process.

This project brings together a 4-bedroom, 3-bath layout, a detached garage, a Cape Cod-inspired design, and a fire-resilient modular building approach, all delivered to site in a single day.

We’re deeply grateful to the homeowners for trusting us with such an important rebuild, and to every member of the team who helped make delivery day possible. More to come as this Palisades home continues to take shape!

Crane day is one of the most pivotal moments in every modular construction project we do.

It’s the day a home finally meets its site, when months of design, coordination, fabrication, and site work come together in one unforgettable moment. For homeowners, it’s often the first time they see their new custom home truly come to life, lifted into the sky and carefully placed on the land where a new chapter will begin.

Last month, we delivered this home to the Upper Hastings Ranch neighborhood of Pasadena. It holds a special place in our hearts as our first fire rebuild project delivered in Pasadena after the Eaton Fire, and as an award-winning architectural design recognized by @aia_pf in collaboration with @fulcrodev.

Most of all, we want to give a heartfelt thank you to the homeowners. Rebuilding after loss is an incredibly personal process, and their trust, collaboration, thoughtfulness, and care have shaped this project every step of the way. We are honored to be part of helping bring their forever home to life.

We’re now finishing up the site work and getting closer to welcoming them home soon.

At first glance, this home may not look like many

At first glance, this home may not look like many of the factory-built homes that we’ve shared recently, and that’s exactly what makes it such a strong example of what modular construction can do. Through our virtually unlimited custom design process, factory-built homes can take on a wide range of architectural styles while still benefiting from the speed, precision, and efficiency of modular construction.

This 2,650 sq. ft. single-family home is set to be built in the Pacific Palisades as part of the fire-rebuild effort. Designed for modular construction and fire resistance, this home features a highly efficient 4-bedroom, 3-bath layout with a detached garage, composed of 6 prefabricated modules.

Taking inspiration from modernist beach homes, the design blends traditional shingle siding with clean, vertical boards all constructed from non combustible fiber cement instead of traditional wood. Unique detailing allows the vertical siding to recess visually within the overall form, introducing shadow and depth across the façade. The project demonstrates how modular construction can achieve architectural interest, special efficiency and fire resiliency within a streamlined building process.

This home is currently being built in our factory and will be delivered to our client in just a few weeks!
