Bevyhouse is partnering with Habitat for Humanity of Southern Santa Barbara to deliver a 2-bedroom, 1-bath Accessory Dwelling Unit (ADU) in Santa Barbara — built with modular construction by Bevyhouse. This ADU is located behind an existing single-family home, on a site generously donated to Habitat. Once complete, it will serve low-income residents in need of affordable housing.

Designed by DMHA Architecture and Engineering, the project navigates a complex site with high flood elevation, requiring a tall stem wall and specialty flood vents — a real example of how climate-resilient design and modern building methods come together.

Built in two modules, modular construction offers a faster, cost-effective solution for infill housing — reducing disruption in tight urban neighborhoods and speeding up time to occupancy. And in true Habitat tradition, volunteers will help bring this home to life, assisting with site-built elements of the design.
